The CFO Connection Expands Presence in California, Welcomes Claudine François

Expands its Presence in California

September 8, 2015 – The CFO Connection has added Claudine François to its growing team of part-time CFOs who serve companies with extensive financial and business management expertise. With proven financial and business experience, François helps The CFO Connection expand its presence in California.

The CFO Connection is a national firm that provides part-time CFO services to small and mid-sized companies in North and South America. The addition of François to the firm’s team comes as The CFO Connection ramps up operations to meet increased demand for innovative CFO services that deliver value at reasonable cost. The CFO Connection meets this market need through the part-time CFO model. This model pairs smaller organizations that cannot justify the expense of a full-time CFO with the expertise of seasoned CFOs who provide services on a permanent, part-time basis.

“Claudine is unique in her ability to connect the dots between strategy and execution,” said Bob Thompson, founder and CEO of The CFO Connection. “She’s equally comfortable in the board room helping to determine corporate direction as she is leading teams on the ground to put strategy into action. Let her take a look at your operations and your finances and she’ll find ways to save you money, increase efficiency, and drive innovation.”

François started her career at Enterprise Holdings group – the largest rental car company in North America – where she helped managed a region of approximately 250 employees, 40 branches and a fleet of 5,000 vehicles. As accounting manager there, she worked with senior management to drive financial performance by identifying business opportunities and risks and advising the business on profitable courses of action.

Later, as CFO for AMC Direct – a global fruit procurement company – François oversaw operations in Chile, Canada, and the US and helped manage transactions from Latin America to South Africa and Asia. Serving as a senior management advisor, she worked with the CEO and upper level management to determine strategy for development and innovation. During her stay at AMC, François implemented cost control reductions that cut year-on-year expenses by $2 million and optimized auditing processes that cut audit expenses by 30% the first year and a further 25% in year two.

“What companies want is simple,” says François. “They want growth – and that’s exactly what I’m focused on. There are tremendous opportunities out there to increase efficiency, improve financial performance, and leverage the results to drive innovation. I look forward to finding and capitalizing on these opportunities as I work with customers of The CFO Connection in the Fresno region.
